Description

We are currently looking for a Recruiter/HR Generalist!  In this role,we will need someone who will be responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for exempt and non-exempt positions throughout the company. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to handle HR Generalist duties when needed as well. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure, and an extensive knowledge of personnel policy, procedures and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes job applications and manages recruiting dashboard.
  • Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
  • Acts as liaison with area schools, employment agencies and advertising agencies.
  • Screens and interviews applicants.
  • Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
  • Coordinates the interview process, including background checks, drug testing and physicals.
  • Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
  • Maintains employee referral program.
  • Conducts introduction during orientation of new employees.
  • Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, sending new hires the requisite paperwork, such as completing of health, employment and insurance forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
  • Is able to assist with HR-related responsibilities, including, but not limited to the following: answering benefits-related questions, open enrollment, and event planning.

Travel:

  • Some travel is expected for this position, including attending job fairs, open houses, and visiting local schools.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, proactive and dependable work ethic, including following written or verbal instructions.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree OR General Education Degree (GED), proficiency in specific skills preferred.
  • Values: Generate a culture that fosters continual improvement throughout the assigned site(s).
  • Other duties as assigned.
